St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and Office of Emergency Assistance Open for Walk-in Requests Beginning July 6
Following consultation with the Vanderburgh County Health Department, the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and Office of Emergency Assistance will begin taking walk-in requests beginning July 6, 2021.
The Food Pantry operates from 8:15 – 11:15 AM and from 1:15 – 3:15 PM, Tuesday through Friday. A referral through the Food Pantry Consortium is not required. However, to verify eligibility, individuals can call the Consortium at (812) 401-0606 Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Eligibility is limited to one Food Pantry visit every 30 days.
For those who can show proof of vaccination against the COVID-19 virus, a mask is not required for entry. For those who cannot show proof, a mask is required for entry. Disposable masks are available at the Food Pantry for those who do not have one. Individuals will again be allowed to enter the pantry and choose their items from the pantry’s food list. Official government-issued identification (not a copy) is required for every member of a household being served.
The Office of Emergency Assistance will again allow walk-ins for requests for financial help with rent, utilities, and other essential items. Individuals can also call the office at (812) 425-3485 to make requests and verify eligibility for assistance. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM – Noon and from 1:15 – 4:00 PM.
The St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and Office of Emergency Assistance are located at 809 N. Lafayette Avenue at the corner of Columbia Street.
